El Derecho (The Right) is a 2011 Spanish-language telenovela to be produced by Telemundo. It is based on the 1991 movie with the same movie that starred Sally Field. The filming is said to be taking place from July, 2011. The novela is expected to debut in September, 2011.

It stars Gaby Espino as the main heroine, Christian Meier as the main hero and villain portraying both Karin and Angelo, Elizabeth Gutierrez in her first antagonist role, Victoria Ruffo and Andrea López.
